Ms. Bryce Butcher is an Industrial Designer who aims to design for the end user and keep them at mind throughout the entire design process. By uniting her design abilities along with her interest and knowledge of the human interface, she strives to make products that solve the issue at hand, and make the product desirable. By using the skills she has learned through Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Business, Group work, and Life... she is able to design with a purpose and finish with confidence. With these abilities she has developed she aims to help those of third world countries and those in need.
Mr. George Cadena received his BS degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He started his PhD in the School of Electrical Engineering, California Institute of Technology, in fall 2006. He is an AT&T Labs and Bell Labs Fellow as well as the recipient of the Betty and Gordon Moore Minority Fellowship. He serves in the Graduate Student Council as the Executive Director and Quality of Life Committee Chair. He is also the president of the Caltech Toastmasters, and is a volunteer coach on the Caltech men’s basketball team.
Mr. Albert Ng is a student of Art Center College of Design with a major in Industrial Design with an emphasis on Entertainment. His goal is to use his abilities of both visual and verbal communication to bring awareness and inspire others to address issues of the world. With his emphasis on sustainable and responsible design, he is working on promoting and elevating the standard of human life for those less fortunate around the world one seat at a time.
Ms. Adrianne Stroup is a Senior majoring in Engineering and Applied Science at Caltech. She was a member of the Latrine Team in the Fall 2007 term of Product Design for the Developing World. Adrianne has lived in Germany for 6 months conducting engineering research in collaboration with Techiche Universitadt Darmstadt, European Space Agency, and the Max Plank Institute for Meteorology. Her recent research interests include sustainable development and alternative energy solutions. She is currently the Vice President for the Caltech Chapter of the Society of Women Engineers and is a key organizer for a yearly event introducing middle school girls to engineering. She is focused on sustainability in all facets of her work, and is focused on positively impacting lives through creative engineering.
